Create Custom Jewelry Around Peridot's Distinctive Green
Peridot has a fresh yellow-green to rich olive-green color that gives custom jewelry a very different character from emerald or green sapphire. Designing around the individual stone allows its exact tone, cut and proportions to determine the finished piece.

Peridot Inclusions and “Lily Pads”
Natural peridot can contain characteristic inclusions, including features sometimes described as “lily pads.”
These are rounded stress-related features around inclusions that may be useful when examining a stone, but their presence alone should not be treated as proof of geographic origin.
As with most transparent gemstones, attractive transparency is desirable, but a natural stone does not need to be completely free of internal features to make beautiful jewelry.
Peridot Treatments and Laboratory Reports
Fine peridot is often encountered without the routine heat treatment associated with gemstones such as ruby or sapphire.
That does not mean treatment status should simply be assumed. Coatings, assembled materials and imitations exist within the wider market, and significant stones can be tested where identification or treatment is commercially important.
A laboratory report may also be useful where a particularly valuable peridot is being purchased or a specific origin claim forms part of the sale.
Where Does Peridot Come From?
Peridot has been found in several parts of the world, with notable sources including Pakistan, Myanmar, the United States and historically the Red Sea island of Zabargad.
Attractive stones from different sources can overlap in appearance, so origin should not be assigned simply from color.
Where geographic origin materially affects the description or value, suitable supporting evidence should be used rather than visual assumption.
Is Peridot Suitable for Regular Wear?
Peridot generally measures around 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs hardness scale.
This gives it moderate resistance to scratching, but it is less resistant than sapphire, ruby or diamond. Hardness also does not mean the stone cannot chip if struck.
Earrings and pendants are naturally less exposed, while rings benefit from a thoughtful setting and sensible care during wear.
Using Your Own Peridot or Heirloom Stones
A peridot you already own can potentially become the center of a completely new custom piece.
Existing diamonds may also be incorporated where their measurements, condition and proportions suit the new design.
An older peridot should be checked for abrasions, chips and worn facet edges before the new setting is finalized.
How Much Does Custom Peridot Jewelry Cost?
Cost depends on the peridot's size, color, transparency, cut and overall quality, together with any diamonds or additional gemstones used in the piece.
Precious metal and manufacturing complexity also play an important role. A simple peridot pendant therefore has very different requirements from a diamond cluster ring or articulated pair of earrings.
Providing a realistic target budget allows the gemstone and setting to be developed together from the beginning.
Why CAD Matters in Custom Peridot Jewelry
A bespoke setting should be developed around the actual dimensions of the peridot and any supporting stones.
CAD allows the proportions, dimensions, gemstone placement and construction to be reviewed before production begins.
For rings this can include setting height and edge protection. For earrings and pendants it allows spacing, articulation and overall balance to be refined before manufacture.
The detailed 3D CAD carries a $25 non-refundable design fee. If the commission proceeds, the $25 is deducted from the final bill.
Are there any upfront costs?
There is no charge for the initial concept stage. We work with you to develop the idea and create visual mock-ups until we arrive at a design you are happy with.
Once the concept is agreed, we provide a quote to make the piece. If you would like to proceed, we request a $25 non-refundable CAD design fee. This covers the time required for our jewelry CAD designer to create the detailed 3D model and is deducted from your final balance if the piece goes ahead.
Am I obligated to go ahead once I submit the enquiry form?
No. Submitting the enquiry form does not commit you to purchasing anything. You are free to stop at any point during the initial concept and quotation stages.
Once the CAD fee has been paid, that fee is non-refundable because the CAD work is created specifically for you. Once the 40% production deposit has been paid and manufacturing has begun, that deposit is also non-refundable if you decide not to continue with the order.
How long does the whole process take?
The initial concept and quotation stage can take anything from the same day to several days, depending on how much refining is needed to get the design exactly right.
Once the concept is approved, the 3D CAD model usually takes around 2–4 days. After the CAD is approved and the 40% deposit is paid, production normally takes around 7–21 days, although most pieces are completed within approximately two weeks.
As soon as the piece is finished, we send you photographs and/or video for approval. The remaining balance is then due before dispatch.
International delivery from Thailand using DHL or FedEx is typically around 3–7 working days, depending on the destination and customs clearance.
Can you source almost any gemstone?
In most cases, yes. Thailand is one of the world's major gemstone and jewelry centers, giving us direct access to an exceptionally wide selection of colored stones.
We source gemstones in person through trusted long-standing contacts and established traders, including within Bangkok's jewelry district and Jewellery Trade Center.
We personally inspect and select the stones used in our custom pieces rather than simply ordering unseen stock, allowing us to choose for color, cut, clarity and overall appearance.
Do you offer gemstone certification?
Yes. If certification is required, the gemstone should normally be submitted to the laboratory before the jewelry enters production, while the stone is still loose.
We can arrange reports through reputable local gem laboratories in Bangkok and, where appropriate, through internationally recognized laboratories such as GIA.
Standard local laboratory certification can often be included without additional charge. GIA certification is usually most worthwhile for higher-value, important or exceptional stones and any GIA fees would be added to the quotation.
Laboratory turnaround can add anywhere from a few days to around two weeks depending on the laboratory and service used.
Where is my custom jewelry made?
Our custom jewelry is produced in Thailand. We source the gemstones here and work with our specialist Bangkok jewelry workshop to manufacture each piece.
Thailand has a long-established reputation for gemstone cutting and fine jewelry production, allowing us to combine skilled craftsmanship with direct access to gemstones and precious-metal manufacturing.
